I uploaded a video to my YouTube channel seven days ago and have been busy grappling with content creation on CapCut PC. Last night, while working on a project, I used the text-to-speech feature, which functioned perfectly. Today, I resumed my work, hoping to finalize the content and upload it to my channel immediately. However, when I clicked on text-to-speech to generate audio, I encountered a message that said, “Network error. Try again later.” Assuming my network was weak, I switched to Chrome to stream anime and was surprised by the smooth playback without any network issues. I returned to CapCut to continue, but I faced the same error. I then tried editing a new project and received the same message.
If there truly was a network error, I wouldn’t have been able to download stickers, filters, music, and more on CapCut, but I managed to do so. So why is the text-to-speech feature suddenly so difficult to use? After updating CapCut, I discovered that text-to-speech is now only available for PRO users. Since I don’t make films, I won’t upgrade to PRO. Despite this, the text-to-speech feature continues to show the same error. This is incredibly frustrating, as I rely on the voices for the characters in my stories and was nearing completion on my current project before this frustrating error emerged. I even used two different Wi-Fi connections to see if that would resolve the issue, but it didn’t, indicating that the problem lies with CapCut. It’s disheartening because I’ll have to start my project over in another video editing software. It’s frustrating that CapCut wasted my time. I promise to uninstall the app if the issue persists by tomorrow at 12 PM.
I am a storyteller on YouTube, crafting narratives and enhancing them with tools like ChatGPT or Gemini. Previously, I would download background music from Pixabay, but now I generate it using Suno AI to avoid copyright issues in the future.
I create my characters and backgrounds with Microsoft Bing AI, Ideogram, and Leonardo AI. Finally, I compile everything in CapCut and utilize its text-to-speech feature for the characters’ voices. However, since the text-to-speech option is now part of CapCut PRO and I cannot upgrade just for AI voices, I will need to explore alternative editing software.
